Good Nutrition and School Meals go hand in hand! 

The Nutrition Services department is made up of a team of food and nutrition professionals that are dedicated to students' health, well being and their ability to learn. We support learning by promoting healthy habits for lifelong nutrition and fitness practices.

Meals, foods and beverages sold or served at schools meet state and federal requirements which are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. We provide students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet the health and nutrition needs of students.

Federal guidelines require us to offer a minimum of 4 Breakfast items (Milk, Fruit, Juice and Whole Grains.  Protein options can be offered in place of grains.) We offer a variety of different items daily to choose from.  Students must take three or four items, one being fruit or juice to qualify as a school breakfast.  

Lunch guidelines require us to offer 5 Components (Milk, Fruit, Vegetable, Whole Grains and Protein).  Students must take minimum of three components, one of which must be a fruit or vegetable.  

Special meal accommodations can be made with a medical note from a doctor's office on file stating the allergy/disability and the substitution.
